New appointments to BNP Paribas Fortis’ Executive Committee

Emilie Jacqueroux and Laurent Van Lancker are joining the BNP Paribas Fortis Executive Committee as Chief Transformation Officer and Chief Information Officer respectively.

Emilie Jacqueroux, who has during the past five years been responsible for Channels and Customer Experience Individuals, was appointed Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) and joined the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Fortis on 1 October, reporting to CEO Michael Anseeuw. As CTO, Emilie will coordinate, scale up and manage all the transformation projects of the bank across business lines, products and channels.

Laurent Van Lancker, currently Chief Technology Officer of BNP Paribas Fortis and BNP Paribas Belgium, will succeed Marc Camus as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will join the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas Fortis on 1 November, reporting to Chief Operating Officer Daniel de Clerck. Laurent has worked in various IT roles at BNP Paribas Fortis, and is currently responsible for IT infrastructure and end user services. Marc Camus in turn will take up a new position at BNP Paribas Group.

Biographies
After graduating from Audencia Business School in Nantes in 2004, Emilie Jacqueroux held a number of corporate communications positions within the BNP Paribas Group and subsequently with BNP Paribas Fortis. In 2016, she was appointed Head of Retail & Private Banking Communication. In 2020, when the Agile Impulse organisation of BNP Paribas Fortis was launched, bringing together the IT and Business teams, she became Head of Digital Channels for individual customers. In that role, she co-ordinated several programmes to modernise the bank’s channels, and several initiatives to digitise customer and employee journeys.

Laurent Van Lancker graduated as a civil engineer from the Polytechnical School of the Catholic University of Louvain in 1994. He worked for 22 years at ING in different positions, shifting gradually from IT engineering roles to senior leader roles. Laurent joined BNP Paribas Fortis in 2017 as Chief Enterprise Architect. He led the Agile Impulse transformation in 2019 until mid-2020 and became Chief Technology Officer in July 2020. Two years later, he was appointed Chief Technology Officer Belgium spanning all CTO-related activities of the BNP Paribas entities operating in Belgium.
