Global Private Banking Awards 2015: BNP Paribas Wealth Management honoured in six categories

BNP Paribas Wealth Management named

 ‘Best Private Bank in France’, ‘Best Private Bank in Europe’ and

 ‘Best Private Bank for Socially Responsible Investment’

BNP Paribas Wealth Management received recognition in six categories at the 4 November ceremony for the 7th annual Global Private Banking Awards organised by Professional Wealth Management and The Banker magazines. BNP Paribas Wealth Management carried off three titles:

  • Best Private Bank in France, for the fourth year running

BNP Paribas Private Banking has this year confirmed its position as market leader in France, with €87.5 billion worth of Assets under Management in France at 30 June 2015.

  • Best Private Bank in Europe, for the second year running

This title award recognises the effectiveness of our Private Banking model, based on a combination of close personal service and global expertise designed to help clients manage their wealth and meet their needs in the long term.

  • Best Private Bank for SRI, for the second time

BNP Paribas Wealth Management has since 2010 been increasing by 50% per annum the total funds it places in SRI and Impact Investing, which now stand at €6.5 billion. These investments relate to sectors as varied as Energy Efficiency, Water Treatment and Social Entrepreneurship.

“We’re now seeing great interest in SRI products among our European clients, especially in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. BNP Paribas Wealth Management will continue to build out its offering of socially responsible products, focusing on the best products on the market, whether we’re talking about best-in-class funds, theme-based funds or innovative structured products,” underlined BNP Paribas Wealth Management Co-CEO Sofia Merlo.

BNP Paribas WM was also ‘Highly Commended’ by the jury in three further categories:

  • Highly Commended in Belgium
  • Highly Commended in Hong Kong
  • Highly Commended for Innovation

Commenting on this recognition in the field of Innovation, BNP Paribas Wealth Management Co-CEO Vincent Lecomte pointed out: “This commendation is a tribute to our determination to use digital tools to enhance and streamline the client relationship. In this context, we launched in October our ‘First Business Challenge’ for Private Banking, in partnership with the Partech Shakerinnovation-stimulation incubator, with a view to encouraging the development of innovative projects.”

New digital applications have also recently been launched in Asia and Europe.
