DKV Mobility acquires Optimile from BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance

Ratingen/Ghent/Brussels, 4 May 2026 – BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance have reached an agreement with DKV Mobility regarding the acquisition of Optimile by the European B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions. Optimile is a Ghent-based scale-up specialising in eMobility, with a focus on software for electric vehicle charging stations and related services. By joining an international mobility solutions specialist, the company is now ready for its next phase of growth and international expansion.

Optimile is a Belgian company that helps businesses and users transition to electric mobility by providing Charging-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions. Founded in 2016, Optimile now employs around 60 people and offers smart, sustainable and user-friendly eMobility products to Belgian and an increasing number of international customers – both under its own Mobiflow brand and as a white-label solution.

Laurent Loncke, Head of Retail Banking at BNP Paribas Fortis, stated: "As a long-standing partner of Optimile, we are proud of the way the company has grown into a key player in smart charging solutions for electric mobility. This acquisition by DKV Mobility provides Optimile with the opportunity to boost its innovative strength and market position. It is a logical next step for a team that is shaping the future of sustainable mobility with passion and expertise. We are confident that this new partnership will enable Optimile to support even more businesses and users in their transition to electric driving."

Edwin Klaps, Managing Director of Broker Channel & Non-Life Development at AG, added: "Over the past decade, with AG’s support as a partner, Optimile has evolved into a scale-up with an impressive customer portfolio, advanced technology and a rapidly expanding network of charging solutions. The company has built extensive expertise in electric vehicle charging software and is now ready for the next, more international phase of its development. With its knowledge and experience, DKV Mobility is the ideal partner to support Optimile in achieving further growth. We wish the team every success in this endeavour."
