BNP Paribas Fortis was awarded the titles of ‘Best Bank for Large Corporates’, ‘Best Investment Bank’, and ‘Best Digital Bank for Consumers’ in Belgium by the international financial magazine Euromoney at its annual awards ceremony held in London on 16 July.
Our bank’s success in the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026 follows an industry survey and in-depth analysis conducted by Euromoney’s journalists and researchers. They assessed BNP Paribas Fortis’ financial performance, the relative performance of its products and services against competitors, and its ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
The awards for ‘Best Bank for Large Corporates’ and ‘Best Investment Bank’ recognise our strengthened position* in the Belgian corporate and investment banking market in 2025. We increased our market share, making our Corporate & Institutional Banking business the market leader in Belgium, ahead of US and other foreign banks. Our strong performance in 2025 is a result of our long-lasting leadership in debt markets, and on key Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) deals during the year.
Stéphane Vermeire, Head of Corporate Banking Belgium stated: “These awards underscore the trust our Corporate Banking clients place in us while also confirming the strength of our Investment Banking expertise.”
Virginie Martens, Head of Corporate Coverage and Corporate & Institutional Banking Belgium added: “Taken together, these awards highlight the value created through close collaboration between Corporate Banking Coverage and Investment Banking teams. Above all, they also recognise our teams’ expertise, client focus and daily commitment. This recognition belongs to them.”
The ‘Best Digital Bank for Consumers’ award showcases our Easy Banking App, which continues to attract new users. It now has 2.7 million active users and recorded 1.24 billion sessions in 2025, while our recently launched virtual assistant has already handled more than 1 million customer interactions and achieved an improved inquiry resolution rate thanks to AI integration.
Emilie Jacqueroux, Chief Transformation Officer said: “This award confirms that our transformation is delivering concrete value for our customers. With millions of Belgians using Easy Banking App every day, we are strengthening our relationship with them. Its success, together with the growing impact of AI-powered assistance, reflects the collective work of many teams across the bank, making banking easier, faster and more convenient for our customers every day.”
