BNP Paribas Fortis chosen as Best Private Bank in Belgium by The Banker

The leading financial magazine The Banker – a part of the Financial Times group – has named BNP Paribas Fortis as the ‘Best Private Bank in Belgium’ at a well-attended ceremony yesterday in London.

The award follows a thorough evaluation of our business model, product & service quality, innovation, and the sustainability of our offering and business processes. The Banker’s panel of 15 global experts judged that BNP Paribas Fortis scored particularly strongly with, among other things:

  • The successful digital wealth management platform PaxFamilia, which was improved still further in 2021 with the addition of the Estate Planning Tool.
  • A Private Equity investment offering unique to Belgium. Already available to Wealth Management clients, since 2021 this service is being offered to Private Banking clients via the investment opportunity in ELTIFs (European Long Term Investment Fund).
  • The launch of Family Office, one of the initiatives for new growth. Focused on entrepreneurs and high-net worth families, Family Office takes a holistic approach and provides state-of-the-art services via a multidisciplinary team.

Stéphane Vermeire, General Manager Private Banking & Wealth Management: “I am very pleased that we have won this award. I see it as recognition of our strong drive to put our inclusive, family and cross-generational approach at the heart of everything we do. In this respect, the personal relationship between client and private banker is a key factor for us. In this day and age, it is more than ever the role of our relationship managers to listen to clients' concerns and needs, fully understand what they care about, but also to reassure them in these uncertain times.

We also have a strong network of expertise in all areas of wealth management. When I look at our offering, I am proud to see that for many years, we have, for example, been a forerunner in sustainable investments, something our clients are more and more interested in.

Our digital platform PaxFamilia remains an essential lever to give our clients a holistic view of their assets, and a crucial part of our tailor-made approach.

Most importantly, I would like to thank our clients for their trust in our services. I would also like to wholeheartedly say thank you to our teams. Their huge commitment to putting best-in-class service and client satisfaction first is once again highlighted in this way.
