BNP Paribas Fortis becomes a major partner of the Ronquières Festival

BNP Paribas Fortis is pleased to announce its partnership with the Ronquières Festival, which will celebrate its 14th anniversary from 7 to 9 August 2026. This collaboration is part of the bank's evolving cultural strategy, strengthening its commitment to significant public events that are integral to the cultural landscape. Attracting more than 60,000 visitors each year, the Ronquières Festival is one of the highlights of the Belgian music scene in the summer.

As an active supporter of renowned Belgian music institutions – such as the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Flagey and Bozar – BNP Paribas Fortis supports numerous artistic events every year. It is in this context that the bank has chosen to partner with the Ronquières Festival, now a major event after 13 editions, more than 220 artists programmed and several hundred thousand festivalgoers welcomed.

The festival stands out for its exceptional setting – the Ronquières Inclined Plane (a 1.5-kilometre-long boat lift built in the 1960s to overcome a height difference of 70 metres on the Brussels–Charleroi Canal) – its strong local roots, and its eco-responsible approach, combining international headliners with artists from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. These values align with BNP Paribas Fortis' commitment to accessible culture and its support for emerging talent in Belgium.

We are delighted to welcome BNP Paribas Fortis as one of the main partners of the Ronquières Festival,” says Gino Innocente, the festival's co-founder. 'We look forward to working together on this wonderful project and showcasing the values upheld by BNP Paribas Fortis.'
Our sponsorship partnerships focus on three key sociocultural areas: tennis, cinema, and culture in the broadest sense,’ says Maarten Verboven, Head of Marketing and Communication at BNP Paribas Fortis. ‘Music festivals are an essential platform for showcasing new talent, while also allowing audiences to reconnect with their favourite artists. Our collaboration with the Ronquières Festival reflects our ambition to promote a diversity of styles, bringing together established artists and emerging talent in a unique setting that unites a broad and varied audience.”
